Mike is a London-based composer who has been playing and recording music in one form or another for over 25 years. Originally writing electronic instrumentals which incorporated ambient guitar washes, he has since been exploring other genres both electronic and acoustic. With a passion for using music to enhance and underline emotion/mood and to complement visuals, he is constantly learning and improving.

His main influences in the film world are Thomas Newman, James Newton Howard, Vangelis, Hans Zimmer, Jerry Goldsmith, Ridley Scott, Stanley Kubrick, Roger Deakins, Seamus McGarvey.

All styles/genres are considered, and he is eager to get outside his comfort zone. For example. the PIGTails game has themes in a number of styles which Mike had never composed for before, but which became an exciting and ultimately satisfying challenge.

He is keen to discuss any projects which need scoring.
